Frequently asked questions about the domestic violence and child abuse treatment court approved program:
Are you court approved?
Yes, we have gone through the approval process for Orange County probation.
Will other Counties and states approve?
Yes, since we are approved by the probation departments, other counties and states accept our programs.
How long are the programs?
Most programs are 52 weeks, i.e., one year. This is based upon you attending 1 class each week. The classes are 2 hours, we have weekend and evening times available. You may choose the class that fits your schedule.
Could I attend more than one time weekly?
The courts generally want the domestic violence program and child abuse program to extend to a year. Sometimes the court will approve, under special circumstances, you would need to inquire at the court for any exceptions.
What happens if I am absent from class or want to take a vacation?
We provide make-up sessions if you are absent. Vacations are acceptable up to one week, longer vacations will require court approval.
What happens in the classes?
The classes are taught by certified counselors with knowledge of family violence. Most clients have found the sessions educational and useful to improve family relations. You will learn skills to prevent future family violence. The class environment is relaxed and our staff is friendly and understanding.
